Are the packaging and marketing materials you use eco-friendly?Updated 17 hours ago
We work hard to make our packaging and printed materials as low-impact as possible while still keeping products fresh, safe, and compliant.
- Daily Chews box: The child-resistant button is made from compostable material, and the paper packaging is recyclable.
- Biolefin shrink wrap: Biolefin shrink wrap is 100% biodegradable and compostable. The film will break down into biomass through a natural biological process facilitated by the microorganisms found in landfills rather than persisting as microplastics.
- Daily Chews pouches: The pouches are made with #4 LDPE plastic and contain 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. #4 LDPE is typically recyclable through store drop-off or specialty recycling programs that accept flexible plastic film (not usually curbside).
- Tincture paper tube: Made from FSC-certified paper (sourced from responsibly managed forests), recyclable, and printed with soy-based inks.
- Tincture bottle: The glass bottle is curbside recyclable in most areas. The dropper assembly combines materials (plastic, glass, and a nitrile/rubber bulb), which most recycling programs can’t process together. For best results, separate the dropper from the bottle, recycle the glass bottle, and discard the dropper unless your local program specifies otherwise. If your city offers a specialty program for small mixed components, follow their rules.
- Information pamphlets: Printed on paper made from 100% post-consumer waste, FSC-certified, chlorine-free, and manufactured using renewable biogas energy. Printed with vegetable- and algae-based inks.
- Padded mailer: Plastic-free, made from upcycled newspaper sandwiched between recycled kraft paper, and curbside recyclable.
We’re always looking for ways to improve, and we’ll keep upgrading materials as better options become available.
