I see your products contain natural flavors. Doesn’t that mean they have MSG or other synthetic chemicals?Updated 9 hours ago

That’s a great question, and one we take seriously. At KA!, we have strict internal standards for any flavor used in our products.

First, we only use USDA Certified Organic natural flavors, which means they cannot contain MSG, synthetic or petroleum-derived chemicals, artificial solvents, or preservatives. Organic certification ensures these ingredients come from natural botanical sources and are produced through clean, food-grade processes.

Beyond certification, we go further: our team reviews as many of the individual components as possible for each flavor - how the plant extracts are made, distilled, or filtered, and whether any chemical modification occurs during processing. We also verify the absence of compounds we consider problematic, and confirm that every flavor we use falls well below the FDA’s established safe daily intake limits.

For example, our organic spearmint flavor is made by distilling botanical oils and dissolving them in glycerin. Another ingredient we use, a “bitter blocker,” comes from licorice root extracted with water and alcohol, then naturally converted into a salt form for better solubility - no synthetic additives, and the ethanol is fully evaporated.

At KA!, transparency and safety guide everything we do. While flavor manufacturers can keep parts of their formulas proprietary, we go as far as possible to understand and verify what’s inside. Our goal is to ensure that every ingredient, even natural flavors, meets the same high standards of purity, quality, and integrity as the plants themselves.
